he National Foundation for Cancer Research is inviting nominations for the 2022 Szent-Györgyi Prize for Progress in Cancer Research. 

The annual prize recognizes scientists who have made an original discovery or breakthrough in scientific understanding that has led to better prevention, earlier diagnosis, or new treatments for patients with cancer and whose discovery has had a lasting impact on the cancer field with direct impact improving or saving the lives of cancer patients. The award winner will receive a $30,000 honorarium and the opportunity to attend a gala in their honor. 

Nominations may be made by individuals from the research community, industry, government, or other organizations who are sufficiently familiar with the research accomplishments and contributions of the nominee. Self-nominations will not be accepted.
