Applications for National Clergy Renewal Program
The Lilly Endowment welcomes applications to its National Clergy Renewal Program. Developed to give pastors a period of respite from the persistent obligations of parish life and an opportunity for rejuvenation and growth, the program supports all activities that contribute to the larger goal of reflection and renewal, including research, religious site visits, time for rest and prayer, and designated time for reading and writing. Grants may also include costs associated with family members to accompany clergy, as well as costs to fulfill pastoral duties for the duration of said respite. Congregations and pastors are encouraged to collaborate on a design unique for their particular parish. Through the program, up to one hundred and twenty-five congregations will be awarded grants of up to $50,000.
Congregations led by an ordained pastor with an MDiv degree from an educational institution accredited by the Association of Theological Schools are eligible to apply. Congregations in any of the fifty states, with the exception of Indiana, may apply, as may congregations in Puerto Rico.
See the Lilly Endowment Clergy Renewal Programs website for detailed program guidelines and application instructions.
