Opportunity Information:

Danone North America welcomes applications for its Gut Microbiome, Yogurt, and Probiotics Fellowship Grants.

Through the program, grants of $25,000 will be awarded to two graduate student-researchers interested in exploring the gut microbiome, probiotics, and yogurt and how they help support and maintain human health and wellness.

Topics may include the role that probiotics or yogurt play on brain function, growth and development, digestive health, weight management or heart health; and factors such as foods or nutrients that influence the gut microbiome.

The grant is not designed to support investigations of disease treatment or clinical management and should focus instead on health and wellness, long-term health and longevity, growth and development, and/or performance.

To be eligible, applicants must be an incoming, current, or full-time enrolled graduate student who is at least 18 years of age, a citizen or permanent resident of the United States, and planning to study during the 2020-2021 academic year at an accredited institution in the U.S.

See the Danone North America website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
