Opportunity Information:

The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation invites applications for its Senior Research Awards program. Through the program, grants of up to $115,830 (including direct costs of up to $105,300 and indirect costs of up to $10,530) per year for up to three years will be awarded to established researchers for research relevant to Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) or Crohn's disease and/or ulcerative colitis. Funding should be used to generate sufficient preliminary data to become competitive for funds from other sources such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Applicants must hold an MD and/or PhD (or equivalent degree) and be employed by an institution (public nonprofit, private nonprofit, or government) engaged in health care and/or health-related research. He/she must have attained independence from his/her mentor. Eligibility is not restricted by citizenship or geography.

Letters of intent are due May 5, 2022, and select applicants will be invited to submit a full application by July 20, 2022.
