Opportunity Information:

The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians is a federally recognized Indian tribe located on the San Manuel Indian Reservation near Highland, California, that supports education, self-determination for all, community development—primarily in ancestral lands—and the development of opportunities for Native nations and causes across the country.

The application window for the 2024 San Manuel Cares Grant Cycle is now open. Support will be directed to organizations and projects aligned with the funding areas of: inspiring future through education, empowering lives, reinforcing healthy and resilient communities, and preserving cultural traditions and empowering Indian Country. Grants of up to $100,000 will be awarded.

Organizations should provide services in San Bernardino and Riverside counties, including: public schools, private schools charter schools, and local government agencies. Additionally, applications are accepted from Tribal Governments and Tribal nonprofit organizations throughout the United States.

Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations with a minimum of three continuous years of current tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code; tribal government entities requesting support for programs within the listed funding areas; and K-12 schools/districts, colleges, and universities.
