Opportunity Information:

The PKD Foundation invites applications to its research program. Through the program, grants of up to $80,000 per year for up to two years will be awarded to support basic research that enhances understanding of the molecular basis of PKD and its pathobiology; translational research that accelerates the development of therapeutic strategies for PKD; clinical research (including small pilot studies); and epidemiology/data analysis research utilizing existing database resources, or that develops new statistical methodologies or test hypotheses using existing data.

Special consideration will be given to proposed research in the following areas: autosomal recessive PKD (ARPKD); ADPKD in children; biomarker discovery and validation; lifestyle interventions (e.g., in dietary habits); epidemiology/data analysis (e.g., using existing datasets); extra-renal manifestations of PKD, including, but not limited to, congenital hepatic fibrosis, polycystic liver disease, and intracranial aneurysms; and clinical care disparities (e.g., race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, rural versus urban).

To be eligible, applicants must have an MD, PhD, or equivalent degree and hold a faculty appointment at the institution where the research will be conducted. Applicants need not be a citizen of the U.S.
