The 10th Childhood Obesity Symposium presented by the CARE Program at Phoenix Children’s will be held May 17, 2024 at the Phoenix Children’s Mel Cohen Center.
The symposium offers physicians, researchers, and educators an opportunity to learn from experts in pediatric obesity and obesity-associated conditions. The goal is to bring stakeholders together and encourage collaboration, generate new ideas, and enhance their knowledge base to improve the health and lives of children and families affected by obesity and at high risk of developing chronic diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and fatty liver to name a few.
Keynote address by Dr. Sarah Armstrong co-author of the 2023 American Academic of Pediatrics Clinical Practice Guideline for the Evaluation and Treatment of Children and Adolescents with Obesity.
The presentations will focus on the following topics:
