Opportunity Kick-off: 2022 NSF Convergence Accelerator
The National Science Foundation (NSF) Convergence Accelerator program addresses national-scale societal challenges through use-inspired convergence research. Using a convergence approach and innovation processes like human-centered design, user discovery, and team science and integration of multidisciplinary research, the Convergence Accelerator program seeks to transition basic research and discovery into practice — to solve high-impact societal challenges aligned with specific research themes (tracks).
NSF’s Convergence Accelerator, aligned to the TIP directorate, is speeding research and discovery into practice by issuing a new funding opportunity focused on three new research track topics: Enhancing Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities, Sustainable Materials for Global Challenges, and Food & Nutrition Security.
Researchers and innovators have two submission pathways to submit their proposals: Solicitation, NSF-22-583 and Broad Agency Announcement (BAA), NSFBAA-CA22-02. Proposals must address one of the following tracks:
-
Track H: Enhancing Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities
-
Track I: Sustainable Materials for Global Challenges
-
Track J: Food & Nutrition Security
Letter of Intent (required): May 31, 2022
Full Proposal Deadline: July 20, 2022*
