Opportunity Kick-Off: 2021 Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP)

March 24, 2021

The Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP) originated in 1992, via Congressional appropriation, to foster biomedical research in response to the needs of the American public, the military, and Congress. The CDMRP funds high impact, high risk, and high gain projects that other agencies may not fund. Individual programs are unique in their focus, but all share a common goal for advancing solutions and breakthrough technologies. Learn more about the CDMRP via this video HERE.

The DOD CDMRP has many solicitations for research across a broad swath of programs. To learn more: https://cdmrp.army.mil/. Generally, the solicitations are released over the course of the spring, with deadlines through the summer months. Each program releases opportunities individually. Thus, it is important to check the website frequently, or request to be sent email updates.

All ASU and Mayo Clinic researchers are welcome to attend, those who are simply interested in learning more about the programs and those who are actively pursuing opportunities.
