NSF Convergence Accelerator-Regional Expansion Event

The NSF Convergence Accelerator is evolving from a single national program into a network of 10 regionally focused initiatives. This expansion aims to enhance both national and regional competitiveness in research, innovation, and workforce development. To support this transformative effort, NSF is hosting a series of in-person events designed to educate stakeholders about the program and foster meaningful connections with NSF staff and fellow collaborators. The NSF Convergence Accelerator will be conducting its Southwest Regional Expansion Event in Phoenix on Thursday, February 13th. 

The goal of this expansion is to advance convergence research and innovation by bringing together diverse stakeholders from various sectors to address pressing societal and economic challenges. These events provide a unique platform for attendees from academia, industry, government, and beyond to learn about the program, connect with NSF-funded teams, and engage with NSF leadership. 

During the event, The NSF Convergence Accelerator team will present an overview of the program’s approach, its model for fostering innovation and its plan for regional growth. Attendees will also hear about the many opportunities to collaborate and engage with the program and other stakeholders.
