Hispanic-Serving Institutions: Enriching Learning, Programs, and Student Experiences (NSF funding opportunity)
The goals of the NSF's Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) program are to enhance the quality of undergraduate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and to increase the recruitment, retention, and graduation rates of students pursuing associate or baccalaureate degrees in STEM. To fulfill these goals, NSF has issued an updated funding announcement, HSIs: Enriching Learning, Programs, and Student Experiences (HSI: ELPSE) (NSF 24-551) calling for proposals that will strengthen undergraduate STEM courses, degree programs, certificate programs, departments, and divisions at HSI-designated institutions. NSF expects projects to use institutional data to identify equity gaps, identify areas of need, and unpack the factors that shape students’ individual realities and shared experiences. The expected award range is $500,000 to $1,000,000. NSF particularly encourages projects proposing research to improve recruitment, retention, and graduation rates for STEM undergraduates. Please note, this program offers two funding tracks: ASU is eligible to apply only for the Implementation and Evaluation Projects track.
This is a Limited Submission opportunity; please see the limited submission detail and eligibility requirements here: https://asu.infoready4.com/#freeformCompetitionDetail/1933478. The ASU Limited Submission application deadline is November 20, 2024.
