DoD Early Career Funding Opportunities Overview

ASU faculty and research staff are encouraged to attend a presentation by Global Security Initiative (GSI) to learn more about the recently released Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Young Faculty Award (YFA) announcement (Link). Join us for an overview of the DARPA YFA announcement, as well as three other Department of Defense (DoD) early career opportunities: AFOSR Young Investigator Research Program, ARL Early Career Program, and the ONR Young Investigator Program.

We will discuss key points and restrictions, as well as receive insight from special guest, former DARPA Program Manager, Ted Senator. 

Ted Senator Ted Senator is a Distinguished Member of the Research Staff at ASURE. Ted has extensive experience in the Government and industry research space, including two stints as a DARPA Program Manager, a Senior Science Advisor at NGA, a Program Manager for IARPA, and as a Technical Fellow at SAIC and then Leidos. He has a strong background in both development of AI systems with rigid requirements and AI evaluation at scale, and his extensive background of leadership and excellence in the Government research space make him ideal for his IMGAME role as a senior advisor and chair of the IB.
