Competitive Intelligence Working Group: Navigating Data Tools and Sources in Competitive Intelligence
Understanding how to best use tools and resources to collect data and information is critical to the practice of competitive intelligence. In this presentation, you’ll hear from practitioners with a variety of roles and experiences in exploring data sources and using analytical tools to interpret the meaning of what they’ve found. They’ll discuss best practices and common pitfalls, the different types of resources and tools they use, and much more. If you’ve had questions about how to approach a particular data problem, or what tool is best for a task, now’s your chance to ask! Hosted by Jason Lyons, Strategic Intelligence Analyst, Research Program Development Team, University of Utah, our panel includes:
- Hansa Magee, Director, Research Analytics, University of Missouri
- Lisa Nanstad, Research Development Strategist, Research and Innovation Office, University of Colorado Boulder
- Connie Stovall, Director, Research Impact & Intelligence, Virginia Polytechnic Institute
