CIWG: Developing A CI Function

November 16, 2022

The Competitive Intelligence (CI) Working Group meets to discuss best practices, share useful resources, and create a network of academic professionals who are engaged in competitive intelligence and are seeking to define how CI is performed and is perceived in our environment. This group connects colleagues from universities across the country to expand our understanding of how research development professionals are using CI and to share common issues and interests.

Anyone who is interested in learning more about this growing area in research development may attend. Everyone is encouraged to share their experiences. Each meeting will have a different topic. Speakers are primarily from academia, but occasionally we will bring in guest speakers from industry. All sessions are virtual and held on Zoom.

Developing A CI Function: CIWG Member Panel

The CI working group has been in existence for five years now and several members have started CI functions at their institutions. We have brought together a group of speakers with different backgrounds and from different organizations to discuss how they began using CI at their institutions. They will share their challenges and their successes. Please join Jennifer Craer from University of California, Los Angeles, Marilyn Korhonen from University of Oklahoma, and Erica Pitre and Kimberly Eck from Emory University on November 16th at 10 am Pacific / 1 pm Eastern for this enlightening and interactive discussion.
