ASU Event: UCF Collaborates: Energy and Sustainability, October 11, 2023

October 11, 2023

The next “UCF Collaborates” event will be held in partnership with the Arizona State University on the topic of “Energy and Sustainability”.

The event will be held virtually on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 1 pm to 3 pm (EST). Click here to register!

The goal of this event is to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas, such as developing new renewable energy technologies, optimizing energy efficiency in existing systems, and finding solutions to today’s energy challenges. This event will support efforts to expand individual research networks within or across institutions,  attract multidisciplinary funding, and maximize research impact across both universities.

FORMAT:

  • Welcome by UCF and ASU leadership
  • Optional lightning presentations from UCF and ASU research faculty (Each lightning presentation is two minutes. A sample lightning presentation template can be viewed here).
  • Guided discussion in breakout rooms on pre-identified funding opportunities. Breakouts are open to all participants

LIGHTNING PRESENTATIONS:

  • Researchers indicating an interest to give a lightning presentation in the registration form will be notified if they have been selected to present
  • Those selected to present will receive a follow-up email with the lightning presentation template to fill out

REGISTRATION (required):

  • Anyone interested in giving a lightning presentation must register by: September 17, 2023
  • All other attendees must register by: October 2, 2023

Although we only have time for a limited number of UCF and ASU faculty presenting their research during the lightning presentations, the event is open to all UCF and ASU faculty, staff, and students interested in attending the event and participating in the networking breakout rooms.

Following the event, a reference directory with all lightning presenters’ information will be made available on the Office of Research UCF Collaborates website.
