Applications for Anthropological Research Grants
The Wenner-Gren Foundation invites applications for its Post-PhD Research Grants program, which will award grants of up to $20,000 in support of research that demonstrates a clear link to anthropological theory and debates and promises to make a solid contribution to advancing these ideas. There is no preference for any methodology, research location, or subfield. The foundation particularly invites proposals that employ a comparative perspective, can generate innovative approaches or ideas, and/or integrate two or more subfields.
Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent degree and may apply regardless of institutional affiliation, country of residence, or nationality. There is no time limit on the duration of the grant, and funding may be requested to cover distinct research phases (for example, two summers) if this is part of the research design.
For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the Wenner-Gren Foundation website.
Submissions to this sponsor/donor are managed by the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations. Please contact your unit-assigned ASUF Director of Development or Research Advancement Specialist at your earliest convenience to ensure ASU's strategic coordination and management of funding applications.
