The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), in coordination with and support from The Aircast Foundation, has issued a request for applications for research investigating the return to play after musculoskeletal injury.

The AOSSM will award a single grant of $100,000 over 24 to 36 months to support a clinical research project on human subjects to improve clinical decision making regarding return to play after musculoskeletal injury. Collaborative, multi-center research studies are strongly encouraged and will be a factor in the review process. Studies investigating concussions are not eligible for this grant opportunity.

To be eligible, the investigative team must include at least one member of AOSSM in good standing. No AOSSM Board officer (e.g., President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, etc.) may be a named investigator on any application.
