Nominations for Conservation Projects

Sponsors:
Conservation Alliance
Amount:
$50,000
External Deadline:
05/01/21
Opportunity Information:

The Conservation Alliance will awarde projects that seek to secure permanent and quantifiable protection of a specific wildland or waterway. Campaigns should engage grassroots citizen action in support of the conservation effort, while projects must have a clear recreational benefit and have a good chance of final success within four years.

Priority will be given to landscape-scale projects that have a clear benefit for habitat; Indigenous-led conservation initiatives; projects that benefit Black, Indigenous, and people of color and/or underserved communities, organizations that work directly with these communities; and projects that measurably mitigate the impacts of climate change.

To be eligible, applicants must be tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. However, before applying for funding, an organization must first be nominated by one of the alliance's member companies.

Nominations must be received no later than May 1. Upon review, selected nominees will be invited to submit full proposals by June 1, 2021.

See the Conservation Alliance website for program guidelines, information about how to be nominated by an alliance member, and application procedures.
