The Diversity Supplement program encourages institutions to diversify their student, post-doctorate and faculty populations to enhance the participation of individuals from groups that are underrepresented in the biomedical, clinical, behavioral and social sciences.  Current NIH PI's and those who are lead on projects within multi-component awards can submit applications through the lead PI/PD. 

Join us for an informal panel discussion with current awardees. We will discuss the opportunity presented by and process of applying to these programs.

Deadlines are determined by IC, but those of note: 

  • NIGMS – submission deadline April 1 or 12 weeks prior to start date 
  • NIAID – submission deadline March 1st for HS, April 1 for all others
  • NIA – submission deadline not defined 
  • NCI – submission deadline Oct 1 – Dec 1 and Feb 1 – March 30 
  • NIDA – submissions must be submitted before May 11th for funding the next fiscal year
