If you are an untenured, tenure-track assistant, or associate professor and you received your Ph.D. within the past ten years, consider the DOE’s Early Career Award.
This opportunity kickoff will discuss the pre-application (which you should have already started) and the full application expectations.

Pre-application checklist:
- Must have an account in PAMS
- Must have a selected topic area: Advanced Scientific Computing Research; Biological and Environmental Research; Basic Energy Sciences; Fusion Energy Sciences; High Energy Physics; Nuclear Physics; Accelerator R&D and Production; and Isotope R&D and Production
- Pre-application requirements: May not exceed three pages, 11 point or larger font.
- Include a list of conflicted reviewers (names and institutions)
Pre-application review criteria:
- Responsiveness to the objectives of the FOA
- Scientific and technical merit
- Appropriateness of the proposed research approaches
- Likelihood of scientific impact
