The Government-University-Industry Research Roundtable will host a webinar on innovative economic engagement efforts by universities to respond to the needs of their students and regions. As technology continues to accelerate innovation, more Americans will need higher levels of education and training in order to thrive in the 21st century workplace. The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) created a designation program to recognize institutions that have demonstrated a substantive, sustainable, and institution-wide commitment to and strategy for regional economic engagement, growth, and economic opportunity. As leaders in economic development, these Innovation and Economic Prosperity (IEP) University designees consider societal and economic impact while identifying strengths and areas of improvement in economic engagement.

Please join GUIRR for a webinar with several leaders from IEP universities to learn what these institutions are doing to prepare their students and their regions for jobs and careers in a rapidly changing innovation economy.
