Arizona State University is launching five Science and Technology Centers as part of the state’s New Economy Initiative. NEI is an investment in ASU’s assignment to drive Arizona’s future economic growth and resiliency through engineering and technology innovation and training.

The STCs represent a strategic collaborative effort by Arizona universities, state government and industry to accelerate talent and skills development in key areas that are driving industrial growth and strengthening the state’s economic development. As part of this effort, the STC Entrepreneurial Fellowships are designed to enable postdoctoral scholars to grow ventures that are commercializing ASU deep technology emerging from programs supported by the NEI.

To be eligible to apply, you must have completed your doctoral degree in engineering or a related field or will be completing it prior to the start of the Fellowship. This allows for soon-to-be graduating doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, research faculty or staff researchers to apply for this opportunity. This program is not aimed at tenured and tenure-track faculty, as Fellows will, in general, proceed to be full-time employees and officers of their companies after the fellowship.
