ASU Proposal Development Resources

Developing and submitting a winning grant proposal is challenging, even for experienced faculty members.  Luckily, ASU faculty members have a variety of powerful tools available to help them quickly and effectively develop a competitive proposal. A one stop shop for many aspects of proposal development can be found here: https://research.asu.edu/researcher-support. In addition to KE resources, many individual colleges, such as Engineering and Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, have dedicated staff available for proposal support.  Be sure to check with your individual department/college to learn what resources you may have just around the corner. The previous page has a drop down option for college resources as well.

As a first step, your Research Administrators (RA) and the Research Advancement Services (RAS) groups are valuable sources of expertise.  The ASU Research Administration website provides robust guidance on both pre- and post-award activities, in addition to links to resources across campus to answer questions on topics such as subawards, F&A costs, and more.

Newer faculty, or those new to ASU, will benefit from the online trainings available through the Knowledge Enterprise (KE) Research Academy website. As well, KE offers faculty a free editing service available for any faculty member submitting either a grant or journal article.

For faculty pursuing larger projects, the KE Research Development group offers wide-ranging expertise, from competitive intelligence and graphic design to support by proposal managers.  As well, the Project Management Office has broad experience working with complex, or translational projects involving large teams.

With all these resources lined up to help, submitting your grant will becomes easier and easier! Make sure you take advantage of ASU resources and the dedicated staff who are vested in your continued success.
