Join a cohort of community and academic leaders to share knowledge, develop new skills and create innovative solutions to our community’s most urgent challenges.
Communities regularly face shocks and stressors, such as economic disruption, social unrest and environmental threats. By pairing community experts with academic researchers to tackle these problems together, the Knowledge Exchange for Resilience aims to build more resilience in our communities.
Fellowship overview
In this yearlong program, change agents from both the community and university convene to share knowledge, discover gaps or opportunities and kickstart transformative solutions. Working in community–university pairs, fellows conduct collaborative research focused on one or more resilience themes.

Criteria
Successful fellowship candidates are passionate about making transformative change. Employees of nonprofits, philanthropies, governmental agencies, municipalities and ASU academic researchers are all eligible.
Candidates who have already identified a counterpart to work with can apply together as a community–university pair. For selected applicants who apply as individuals, KER can help identify potential partners.
