Opportunity Information:

The Rheumatology Research Foundation aims to advance research and training to improve the health of people with rheumatic diseases.

The foundation invites applications for its Clinician Scholar Educator (CSE) Award, which will provide $70,000 a year for three years to enhance education in musculoskeletal diseases for future doctors and rheumatology health professionals. Applicants should demonstrate a desire to develop a career in education and dedication to providing effective and efficient training. Recipients devote themselves to developing products and processes using new technologies and methods to better train future rheumatologists.

To be eligible, applicants must be an American College of Rheumatology (ACR) or Association of Rheumatology Professionals (ARP) member at the time of submission and for the duration of the award. ACR members must have earned a DO, MD, or MD/PhD degree and completed a rheumatology fellowship by the start of the grant period; have experience in the education or training of medical students and/or residents and fellows; be licensed to perform clinical care; and have experience seeing patients and currently see patients. ARP members must have earned an advanced degree (masters or above), have experience in health professionals’ education or training, have experience seeing patients, and currently see patients.
